Patch notes
What changed, newest first. Every line here is live on fluxclash.com and in the app.
Controls, feel and bots
- Tap to move, tap an enemy to attack. The attack button goes for the nearest target, and nothing attacks without your order.
- A tap behind a wall walks you around it instead of into it.
- The Training camp's attack steps name the tap, so the first fight teaches the real controls.
- A swing you cancel before its first frame still shows that frame, and a rooted champion's own swing is drawn.
- Hits have weight: a short hit-stop for the two fighters, a light shake and a burst when a champion falls. Minion deaths, tower collapses and hits on minions are drawn too (Settings → Effects).
- Shields and chain lightning draw what was actually cast.
- Coreburn's 2× pickup draws as the 2× badge, with every arrow in its colour.
- Remote champions no longer step backwards when the server's frames pause.
- A player held back because the server is full is told so, instead of watching a countdown to nothing.
- The daily reminder arrives once a day, not once per server.
- The hub: PLAY COREBURN is back on the first screen on landscape phones and small desktops.
- The soundtrack plays from the shop's file store.
- In the opt-in 3D battlefield: skillshots, bolts and basic attacks are drawn in 3D; the champion card shows charge, guard, parry and stun; pickups draw as in 2D; minions behind a tower are drawn over it; a champion's 3D relief body appears once its strip is ready.
- The native iPhone app no longer offers to install itself after a win, and no longer shows a push toggle it cannot honour.
- The front page's SERVER badge asks the server instead of asserting.
One page per fighter, and the lobby on a phone
- Every fighter has a page, and /fighters lists them all by class.
- The front page shows each champion's in-match 3D model, and champion select shows the champion in 3D.
- Every shot and every power-up on the field is pre-rendered in 3D.
- Every champion gets a health bar you can see; the team rail shows portraits; the enemy crystal's label stays out from under the top HUD; a target card and a kill banner.
- Two players on the wrong sides of a full lobby can trade; a team whose teammate has left can still surrender; play as a guest from the top of the sign-in sheet.
- The new-player lobby fits the fold, and champion select fits a landscape phone.
- Pinch zoom is locked only while a match is running; on a landscape touch screen the fullscreen toggle leaves the rail.
- The 3D battlefield sheds load before it gives up, and phones with no graphics chip get it as one picture.
- Online, your own crystal and towers never drop out of the picture.
- A V-Money code is consumed and credited in one transaction.
- The front page is faster on phones, and the site's small print meets the AA contrast floor.
