Esports

FLUX is built to be played seriously: a server that certifies every ranked result, cups with brackets, custom lobbies with observers, spectating and replays. This page covers what exists today, and only that.

Ranked seasons

Ranked Coreburn and Ranked Conquest each keep their own ladder, with seven tiers from Drone to Apex (2400 points and up). The ranked draft, bans included, runs on the server. A ranked result counts only with a single-use certificate signed by the match server, so it cannot be faked from a browser, and a match whose replay on the server does not come out the same is refused.

Seasons run eight weeks. At the turn of a season every rating is halved and 100 added (1200 becomes 700).

Cups

Cups are tournaments run by the FLUX team, in Coreburn or Conquest. When one opens for sign-up, teams enter at its page with their game accounts and check in before the start, in a bracket of 4, 8, 16 or 32 teams; the bracket, every series and the results then live on that page. Series can be best of one, three or five, a team that does not turn up in time can lose by walkover, and casters get a scorebug overlay for the stream.

Custom lobbies

A custom lobby gives you a code to share. Friends who enter it join your lobby, you set the teams, and anyone can join as an observer to watch instead of play. Custom matches can be paused. It is the way to run a scrim or a show match on your own.

Spectating

Every online match hands its players a watch link, and a custom lobby hands one to its observers. Open it in a browser and you see the match with both teams' rail, the kill feed and the score bar, which is what a caster captures for a stream. The picture runs 90 seconds behind the players, so a second screen cannot be used to spy on the other team.

Replays

A finished match can be watched again from the end screen. The replay viewer has a timeline marked with every takedown and structure, so you can jump straight to a fight, can follow one champion's camera, and can save the replay as a file that plays again when you drop it back on the page.
